We all possess the potential for change!
Do you want to change?
Counselling is about curiosity. Why am I feeling like this? Or why am I finding life so difficult? Or perhaps - why am I not coping with all today's problems. Psychodynamic counselling helps us look at the past and the present and so we begin to understand our feelings and recognise feelings that maybe belong in the past and not to today.
We are all different and the first session gives you the opportunity to tell me what your problems are and what you would like to gain from counselling; that helps me to understand your needs so that I can work in a way that would be most helpful for you.
I believe one of the most important factors in therapy is for me the therapist ~ counsellor to respect our diversity; that means that I respect that everyone has different needs. There is no 'one size fits all'!
For you my client I believe that apart from your own curiosity it is also your understanding that you can change - whatever feelings are troubling you can - be understood and changed - lose their power to disrupt you.
I work with individuals, I work with couples, by that I mean people who are in relationships that seem not to be working and that can be adult child and parent, married couples, partners and same sex relationships.
I offer open-ended counselling and time-limited that is six to twelve weeks.
I work from my home in Farringdon about four miles south of Alton and within easy reach of Bordon, Farnham, Petersfield, Basingstoke, Guildford and Winchester.
I work with adults over the age of 20 and I work with couples.
